Greetings.

Feelings...again...oh, to look forward to that Day ahead when pain and stress no longer are...
Even the writer seeks that time!

I am not feeling very well...
I have not any strength...
the day cannot end soon enough,
I can't believe its length!
I have a refuge at the house,
will that be help at all?
But stop! Relax...take a breath...
the Name of Jesus call!

Jesus Christ, Deliverer
from what I'm going through...
Jesus Christ, the only Healer
that will ever do!
Jesus Christ, the One Whose arms
can keep the world at bay
while He completely turns around
each facet of the day!

The pain is only temporary,
Jesus is always;
"Come, Lord Jesus, transport me
into those better days!
You are everything I need
for to continue on;
in You, the stress and suffering,
to, very soon, be gone!"

Jesus, Savior, Deliverer. Jesus. What a blessing to have such a wonderful, giving Savior.
Only in Him and through Him can I go through the days!

Good morning.

What a blessing it is to have a place to go and a Person to turn to at all times...

"Broken yet again, I come to You.
No one else can know just what to do.
Everywhere I hurt is in Your hand;
the boundaries and limits You have spanned!

Broken yet again I come, I come.
Pain and disappointment be the sum.
You address each issue that I keep.
You embrace me as my life would weep.

Broken would I come to You alone.
My solution is already known.
You know where to fasten every piece.
Oh God, enable grace for to release!

Broken, oh my God, will You accept!!
Secure inside Your mercy I am kept!
Victory assembles me once more.
Oh God, my God, Your mercies, they restore!

Broken would I run to You, oh Lord!
In You, I am abundantly restored!
You know mine every issue more than I.
In You will I forever occupy!"

Can you relate to any of these words?
Are you broken? Don't know where to turn?
God knows you better than anyone or anything else! Turn to Him! He has all that you need, and His arms are wide open for you!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Blessings on you this day.

Loving God.
There is nothing more rewarding in this life!
And though we do not love Him for the rewards, He pours out His Spirit upon us without measure as we love Him!
What a blessing! Being so close to Him that you can 'feel' the relationship!

There is not another person,
no event, no thing
that can match the love of God,
what blessings for to bring!
It is not a one-way street,
in fellowship with Him,
it is the way that I restore
my vigor and my vim!
And that which He provides as I
give to Him all my love,
it causes me to long for that
awaiting us above!

Oh, the 'feeling' of the love
that we have for each other...
oh the power come from knowing
there is not another!
Oh, the glory of the One
that loves me more than all!
I cannot wait to give to Him-
there be no greater call!

Loving God.
What does it entail for you?
There is so much involved in just living life here, but loving God only makes me want to live that life completely for Him!
Ya know?

In HIS Service,
Jim

Blessings on you this evening.

Please ponder the words the Spirit gave to me this morning...

Waiting for the Promise
that Father has avowed...
With the fire and the flame
His Church has been endowed!
"Cloven Tongue, come rest upon,
enable us to go..."
the power of the Holy Spirit
for us each to know!

The fullness of the Spirit
to have at our dispense...
the purity of living flames,
our very souls to cleanse!
Boldness to proclaim the Living
Word in such a way
that men would know HE IS ALIVE
and coming is The Day!

Waiting for the Promises...
but it is here at last!
Receive the Spirit! Know the power
that He has amassed!
"Holy Spirit, come! For we
avail ourselves in whole!
Ignite the life You see within us--
we give You control!

Have you given such control to God? Both of you know the answer to that!
Relinquishing yourself to God is like anything else you entrust to Him: You get more out of it than you put into it!
Oh trust me, His return is so much more than you can fathom!
Receive ye the Holy Spirit!
"BREATHE ON US!"

Good morning. Happy weekend!

Promises...promises...promises...
Oh, but I have promises that are alive!

Again, the words of Jesus, they
have set my spirit free!
Comfort, healing, peace and hope
spoken unto me.
So much more than promises
as I, at once, receive
so many blessings from the One
in Whom I do believe!

Yea, does He more than promise, He
delivers it, as well!
Of the things He brings to me,
my brother, let me tell!
Such as I have mentioned, as
none other could avail,
and, of what my Lord endows,
not one will ever fail!

The promises of Jesus, I
live by them all the day!
Lacking not a thing am I,
He is my hope and stay!
And He will even be my theme
as the ages roll:
now and then and evermore,
the Savior of my soul!

Know Jesus! He is wonderful! He is so real!
He waits only for you to call out to Him!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Before it gets too hot today, walk with me, won't you...

The sweetness of the breeze as,
once again, I walk the fields...
the morning sun--I savor it
and everything it yields...
contrasting but a million hues
with its warming rays,
I relish all of it as,
unto God, I sing my praise!
And it is but a song that tries
to verbalize the 'feel'
of the morning on the land
and all of its appeal!
Attempted yet again this day
so merrily, indeed;
a care or worry rises not,
the blessing, to impede!

Emerging as a rose in bloom
out of His mighty hand,
the blessed morn presents itself
unto the waking land.
And the land responds by showing
forth its very best;
and I exalt Almighty God
in Whom ALL things are blessed!

How fortunate we are to be able to witness a brand new day.
How blessed we are to even have another day!
Remember Who made this day and gave it to You.
What will You do with it to give Him in return?

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

Hear again the the Word of God, from the Poet's Version, based on the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 13, vv25-29:

"One question yet remains as I,
the mighty heavens, view:
Whom have I, in all of the
expanse, except for You?
I look upon the lovely earth
and its contents entire,
and learn there's nothing more than You
that I would desire!
And though my very flesh would fail,
and my heart beat no more,
Your restoration then would come,
my portion to restore!
For they that are away from You
shall perish as the wind...
and them that have abandoned You,
destruction is their end!
But it is well with me as I
have drawn nigh to my God.
I trust in You and I declare
Your works by which I'm awed!

Whom have I besides You, God,
in all of everywhere?
"NO ONE!" cries the depths of me,
You are beyond compare!
And evermore my only chore
is to find other ways
to demonstrate my love for You
and shower You with praise!"

The Word of God is so alive and pertinent to our lives!
Get into it! You will realize the reality of God and how irreplaceable He is!

Blessings on you today!

Do you have the power?

My power, it is based alone
on that which isn't mine.
The same becomes my own, however,
through a grace divine.
Nothing of myself to merit
that which I possess-
my power-it is His, due all
the ways He comes to bless!

His power. What a blessing! It comes only as I need it. It is always just what I need.
What a wonderful blessing!
What a wonderful grace!
What a wonderful Savior!
Jesus Christ. What a wonder!

Blessings on you.

The economy...
the weather...
politics...
health...
salvation?

Guess what the most important thing on that list is?
Guess what you will almost never hear about away from certain 'circles?'

Jesus is the most important
issue in this life.
He will remain no matter what
becomes of world strife.
The ONE decision ALL must make
before this life is through,
even when the world is gone,
He'll be in one so new!

"What will I do with Jesus?"
THE question ALL will face.
He is life abundant due
The Father's heart of grace!
So many dodge the issue,
deny, even defy,
but He is just as real as
the fact that you will die!

What will you do with Jesus?
But each heart must decide!
He is alive, providing life,
even though He died.
Will you choose to 'leave him dead'
and live your own deceit?
Or will You choose His life abundant,
and, all lies, defeat?

"What will we do with Jesus?"
The question of all life.
The same, it is the source of much
anxiety and strife!
But He is source of all that's good!
Call out to Him today!
He will guide your steps along
the Straight and Narrow Way!

Jesus is not an 'issue' you will hear discussed on the evening news. The same will do everything they can to sway you from such!
Find Jesus, and you will find solace from that which seems to trouble this whole world!

Blessings on you this day!

The beauty of His Presence.
The reality of God.
Nothing else compares with Him.
Nothing matches the 'feeling' of assurance in knowing God in your life.
What a blessing!
How fortunate are those who realize His reality.
How different life becomes!
Too, what a blessing it is to have Christian leaders in this life to help make these truths 'more real.' Pastor Venable, thank you for not only helping make Jesus real through your teaching, but for living Jesus with such clarity, simplicity and candor.
Such truths as these were made real again last evening as I was in the sanctuary waiting for service to start...

Alone inside an empty house?
But God is always here!
And never be His house without,
with love and joy so clear!
Walk into His house and feel
immediately home!
So beautiful...so welcome...
so safe...no more to roam!

"Alone inside the House of God?"
the same can never be!
Holy Spirit there awaits
and welcomes such as we!
Embracing us upon arrival,
keeping us throughout;
the blessings of His house, oh let us
never be without!

Find that safe haven in your life!
God is waiting for you there.

Blessings on you this day.

"The good I know to do I do not, while that which I do not want to do I accomplish too often."

So often be the opportune to slander,
and presented more and more each day.
To do the right thing takes restraint so often.
None promised 'ease' upon the Narrow Way.

No, but one must take the cross up daily,
no matter what the consequences be.
So wide the path that leads unto contrary!
Both paths are set before, and we are free.

What shall be the ruling of your spirit?
Will you cave to that which would abound?
Or, with some restraint and dedication,
in the Spirit will your day be found?

The Straight and Narrow.
The Wide Thoroughfare.
Which path will you choose?
He has set before us life and death.
Choose life!

Greetings.

God is so good!
When I don't have the strength, He gives me His own.
When I don't feel good, He heals me.
When I can't seem to find the words, He fills in the blanks.
Those of you reading this, I hope you realize just how real He is, and join me in thanking Him for His words...

There is a joy far greater than 'emotion,'
there is a peace that more than merely 'feel;'
so many are the blessings from the Father,
and the same, He never shall repeal!
His grace shall be availed until His coming,
only then will it be called "too late!"
Take of His sweet grace before that moment,
call upon my God, so good and great!

Oh, what a blessing it is for us to have Him as our Father!
Only through Jesus Christ, His Son!
Give Him your life. You will receive far greater in return!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

In with Him...
In fellowship, in presence
forever in His grip;
in prayer with my Father,
far more than only lip!
It's greatest conversation
than one can ever know!
So foreign a location,
as some may never go.

So wonderful, His Presence,
His glory and His grace!
So great communication,
as we are face-to-face.
And yet even closer
as He embraces in;
become we one as He
abolishes mine every sin!

So glorious--relationship
with God, Creator Lord!
O the love, the perfect love
His mercy to afford!
Affection, oh so genuine,
relationship so real.
Royalty reality--
see...hear...feel!

Do you know such relationship with God?
There are so many I meet that see Him as "The Untouchable."
Quite the opposite is true!
Get to know Him just as real as the words you've just read! You will never be the same.

In HIS Service,
Jim

Good morning.

God is so alive in our lives!
May we never miss an opportunity to declare His Presence!

Would I be remissed if I
neglected so to say
how Jesus comes nigh unto me
every single day?
But then to feel remorse and shame
(as He's mine all-in-all,)
to know that I neglected Him-
oh, but what a fall!

I shall never be remissed,
nor to bring on shame!
Forevermore will I exalt
and praise His holy Name!
Occassion never to arise
when I must repent
because, that precious time with Him,
I have never spent!

It is my lone desire to
be pleasing Him alone.
To thoughts of constant exaltation
am I ever prone!
And though, at times, I miss the mark,
caught up in other 'things,'
that blessed word "Come, enter in...."
e'er constantly so rings!

Can you hear it? Listen for it! Those inviting words are being spoken to everyone with an open heart!
Never miss an opportunity to spend time with Jesus!
Never miss an opportunity to inform how Jesus fills every part of your life!
People are listening.

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

It is our desire that you and yours be blessed and comforted this day as we pay respects to those who gave their all.
God bless you richly as you ponder the words that flow for this day...

Memorial--so deep in heart,
etched in stone...in stone...
too many, the departed,
so many left alone...
But not without the honor due
be them that are no longer,
commemorate their lives do we,
making us the stronger.

He gave his all for country...
she gave her all for world...
they gave their all in service,
let honor be unfurled!
Recall them with thanksgiving,
call out their names with pride!
Remember them as they touch each
emotion deep inside.

Memorials exist within
each family alive.
Unto one day our unity
may finally arrive.
And we are bound together by
the blood that they have shed;
may therefore be our gratitude
to Him Who also bled.

We owe so much to them for whom this day is set apart.
Do not let an opportunity pass this day to remember them and be very grateful to be an American!

Greetings.

Thank you, families, for sharing your loved ones with us.
We share with you in the grief, the honor, the pain.
We share our prayers with you today...tomorrow...Memorial Day...always.
May we not just be aware of sacrifice on a holiday.

Memorial is coming,
it's coming around once more.
The piping and the drumming,
the orchestras to roar!
So many celebrations
and ceremonies nigh,
so many are the prayers raised
to Father God Most High!
And many the appreciations
from a poet's heart.
To aptly capture essence full,
surely I lack part!
But to impart a grace to all
my calling is secure:
words to them that gave their all
from a heart so pure.

Thank you to the fallen,
may God secure each soul...
thank You to each family
may God complete you whole...
Thank you to each one that serves
as I compose this piece,
because of your allegiance, I
can write these words in peace!

Memorial is coming,
and yet the same is here,
it's part of each American
that holds their nation dear!
It's more than just a holiday,
a way of life it be;
and we will celebrate our heroes
now and constantly!

Constantly.
Before...during...beyond Memorial Day.
You deserve more than just a holiday.

Jim Busby

Blessings on you this day.
Did you see the morning today?
Did you look around and realize the gift of one more day from the hand of God?

Again the glory of His majesty
is displayed so bold and vividly!
The color of what He creates by hand
is so explicit as I humbly stand!
And all that seems to matter for a time
is that which He's inspiring to rhyme:
the glory of what He creates by hand!
Across the deepest reaches is it spanned!

The glory of His majesty.
It is clear and present in your day.
Did you see it?
Did you even look for it?
You don't have to look for it! It's right in front of you!
All you must do is acknowledge Him!
Creator God is creating constantly. He didn't just make this beautiful place and say "That's it. I'm outta here!"
No. He created this place so that He could dwell with us.
The next time you are out in creation, remember Creator God and thank Him for the blessing of the place you are in, and the blessing of being able to see it!

Greetings.

In a fit of ire intense,
the dawning, it is wrought!
The eastern sky is now atinge
with proofs of whence it fought!
Wester' reaching...even groping...
fingers of the blaze;
though it stops me once again,
the moments ne'er to faze.

So another sunrise is
that He has brought about;
creation now so celebrates
unto Him with a shout!
Such life again is granted in
the rising of the sun;
and gratitude again exudes
unto the Holy One!

Another beautiful day.
Grateful for another beautiful day!
We may not have everything, we may lack quite a bit, but we are able to see the creation of another opportunity to live!
Make everything of that opportunity.

Good morning.

Good...after the violence of the storm.
Good...is the peace that is as the land is motionless.
Good...is Him Who creates the beauty of it all...

Once again, the music of the morning
wafts through trees that stretch with all their might...
they reach toward the One Who breathes upon them
and squirm as if to giggle with delight!

And squirm as if to giggle with delight...
they cannot stand still in the Presence of Him this morning!
they must celebrate the fact that God is walking through their midst!
And I will do the same!

The music of the morning oh so vivid.
It comes from all creation if you hear!
The roses burst forth into celebration!
But only use your eyes and you will hear!
The orchestra that is upon the wing,
it resonates in notes man can't repeat!
Listen to the music of the morning,
it will help your day to be complete!

Stop. Look. Listen. That's how to find God this morning!
It only takes a moment...

In HIS Service,
Jim

Good morning.

Strength is mine as I completely trust in Jesus Christ.
Peace is mine as He embraces me as I let go into Him.
Joy is mine. Joy that mere words cannot accurately capture.
Though a man of words, I am undone as He overtakes me!
Have you such a relationship as to trust this deep?
"It's scary!"
Yes, but it is so worth whatever it takes to obtain it!
Trust God completely!
He knows what is best for you...always!

"Awesome God, to You will I surrender.
The love You are is perfect...true and tender.
The peace You are is like none other known.
The greatest joy at all, it is Your own!
To You, my God, mine every way I cede.
You know my every want, my every need!
Your reserve includes each heart's desire.
Oh God, You are the greatest of Supplier!!"

Trust. Complete, unswerving trust.
Can you give it to Him?
The rewards are out of this world!
Trust me!

In HIS Service,
Jim
7126

Good morning.

Have you been to the Holy Place lately?
It requires time to meet Jesus there, but the blessings He has there are priceless!

Again, the Holy Place;
overwhelming grace;
His Presence is so real:
see...hear...feel...

Jesus, so alive,
He makes me to arrive
in that Holy Place
where He abides in grace!

How often is the Holy Place?
How many take the time?
In our service to our God
our presence here is prime!
It takes a little longer,
it takes sacrifice;
but the benefits herein,
they are worth any price!

Find the Holy Place!
Seek His very face!
For Jesus will be found,
and His grace will abound!

Have you taken the time to be here?
You know the answer to that question.
God knows the answer to that question!
Don't let anything in this life embezzle you of this time, of this Place!
Nothing is worth missing this ultimate of fellowship!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Good Morning.

Walking once again,
with Jesus, hand-in-hand.
Abundant is His handiwork
as I survey the land!
The proof of Him, the attestation
no man can refute!
The testimony of His Presence
would all life commute!

Walking with Him...oh the sweet
reality of God!
The birds break forth in chorus as
the sentinels applaud!
O man, exemplify Him in
the essence of your ways!
Let every work come forth from you
be radiant of praise!

No greater walk than that with Jesus
walking side-by-side!
No greater life than that which has Him
dwelling deep inside!
Reach out! Cry out for Him to come
to dwell inside the heart!
Embrace Him as you walk along
and do not ever part!

Jesus is right there next to you. Period! But you must turn and ask Him to dwell inside of you!
Go for it!!
Life will never be the same...IT WILL BE BETTER!
Does that mean you will no longer have problems? No! But You will have God Himself to go through those problems with you...and all of life! He is not there just for the problems. He wants to go through everything with you!
Please let Him!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Good morning.

Looking all about the world this day, let us pray...

"Let me retain an upright stance
as I, upon my world, glance;
my favor, in Thy sight, enhance;
the tempter not to get a chance!

Yea, Lord, as I go through life,
facing joys and facing strife
together with my precious wife,
be Thy Holy Spirit rife!

Indeed, in all that does abound
let Thy servant then be sound;
blameless even to be found
standing firm on holy ground!

Yea, forever may I be
found, Lord, to be firm in Thee;
even, Lord, that men would see
that Thou art so indwelt in me!
Upon the Rock, there standing fast,
to be tempted, yet not passed;
iniquity to, outward, cast;
Thy confidence and peace to last!

Thus, indeed, mine upright stance
will be, my Father, at Thy glance,
furthering that blest romance,
our communion to enhance!

In JESUS' Name,
Amen"

Look around you. Could your world use a solid rock?
We can be that steady force. Jesus Christ inside of us can be that steady force.
More folks than you may realize are looking for something to hold onto.
May they cling to Jesus inside of us!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Good Morning.

Opportunity...
How often have you ignored it?
How many times have you passed it by, only to regret it?
Join me on the tarmac as I pursue mine...

Palomar in front of me,
memories behind.
reflection on the yesterday
emotions be inclined.
The grip, though must be severed,
the future cannot wait-
it is handed to me by
my Father, good and great!

Palomar in front of me,
but not for very long.
The runway soon to see me off;
yes, listen to the song!
A song of liberation into
victories ahead;
what awesome opportunity
for the Spirit-led!

Palomar in front of me,
clearance I receive.
"Lord, please take Your seat beside me,
it's now time to leave...
Somewhere there ahead awaits
the future You ordain...
Lead me, I will follow, Lord;
with nothing to constrain!"

God has a future prepared for you, no matter who you are.
God has a plan for your life, no matter your age!
Don't let anything hold you back!

Greetings.
The glory of the Lord on this holy day...enjoy it with me, won't you?

The glory of His Majesty
as far as I can see!
So wonderful, the fellowship
while He is here, all Three!
The hills continue rolling...
the waters spill their song...
and I will sing unto His
Majesty forever long!

Sing unto His holiness,
sing unto His grace...
sing to Him Who gives me all
out of His only grace!
Sing His mighty power,
sing His reverent awe
sing of all in Him that nowhere
else man ever saw!

The glory of His Majesty,
creation to proclaim!
He is Lord! Jesus Christ,
o magnify His Name!
He escorts me through the land
that resonates of Him!
Every glory I behold-
He makes each one of them!

Worship Him with me, won't You?
You can't see the spectacle of what thrills me?
MAKE THE TIME TO FIND IT!
You will find God right there in that same place!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Blessings on you this day!

Once again, my heart to want
for, oh, that Happy Day!
The very soul of me to reach
for that Place, just away!
So many are the yearnings for
what happens in that Place,
but none so great as seeing Jesus-
oh, my King of Grace!
Finally, to see His Majesty
without an end!
He is the Son of God, He is
more close than any friend!
He is the Savior of my soul,
the Lover of my heart;
the Healer of my body,
oh my God, how great Thou art!

Once again and ever to
desire there to be!
Rejoicing in His Presence, yes,
for all eternity!
O come, ye day awaiting,
o come, my risen Lord!
Together, in that Place that only
mercy could afford!

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Will it be a happy day for you?
I know it will be a great and terrible day for some, because Jesus said that not all men would make it, only those who are born again.
What kind of day will it be for you?
Oh, I want to see Jesus!
How about you?

Monday morning...again.

"Good morning, Father God! What have you planned for me today?!"
Yardwork that I did not get to this weekend...
"Father, look how the sunshine illuminates the grass! Thank You that I have my own yard to mow!"
Here we go again...into the traffic on the way to work...
"Lord God, thank You for this car and for the job that You have blessed me with. Please help me follow Your lead and to be a blessing there today."

Monday morning...again. If I pay attention, there are far more reasons to praise God and thank Him for "another Monday morning..." than there are reasons to dread it. Even if it takes a second of study, it is worth it.

Another Monday morning,
what possibility!
Open eyes and behold
the wonders that would be!
The glory of His majesty,
the glow of His creation!
All availed to such as we
through that love-relation!

Another Monday morning?
But never is the same!
Every day is new in Him
Who gives us a new name!
He is within, without, He is,
and constantly alive!
He is the lone assurance You'll,
in victory, arrive!

"Another Monday morning..."
the world, it would dread;
but You're a child of the King
with glory, joy unsaid!
Reflect Him in Your Monday so that
everyone would know
the life abundant, everlasting
God would sure bestow!

Monday...Monday...
The first Friday of the week!
Live in such a way that that God can reach others through you!

Greetings.

Yet again, I must back off and see the bigger picture...

The glory and the power
belong to One alone;
the very Same, Christ by Name,
for me would He atone!
In all of His great glory
He stoops for even me
so that His awe and spectacle
I vividly may see!
His might and His magnificence...
my sinfulness and shame...
the passion in his countenance,
none other be the same!
The tenderness of His each word,
yet such authority!
"Who am I?!" to Him I cry,
to be His custody!

The glory and the power...
the passion and the grace!
Every time I go to Him,
what sentiments I face!
"It's all good..." my spirit cries
while in the presence of
Christ, Who so epitomizes
mercy, grace and love!

Mercy...Grace...Love...
Oh, the Fount of Jesus Christ's passion!
Go to that fount often! There's no limit!
Jesus welcomes your presence wherever, whenever, whomever you are!
His grace is sufficient!

Jim

Greetings.

The storm is over...for now.
Looking out the door,

The petals seem to shiver in
the morning of the spring
while the needles of the pine
softly would they sing;
in between offensives that
the elements would mount,
nature seems to take a pause,
its blessings for to count.

The storm came in its fury,
the stems are yet upright...
the birds are celebrating
as if they were kept tight...
and that which roared in fury,
is whispering so soft,
praises unto God Almighty
seem to float aloft...

In between the elements-
horizon is foreboding!
It seems as if the clouds ago
are cautiously reloading!
Savor that which is though now:
peace, so temporary;
get ready for those clouds away
and what they would carry!

The storm will come. We cannot stop it.
We can react to it. What will your reaction be?
We WILL recover!
GOD IS IN CONTROL!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Blessings on you this day!

Look with me,
Again the glory of His majesty
is displayed so bold and vividly!

Greetings.

The wonderful works of God!
How hard must you look to behold the wonderful works of God?
Do you set out in the day to get things done so that you can have time to look?
Someone told me the other day that they did not have time to look at God or His goodness because they had so much to do.
I would remind them that they can observe God and His handiwork WHILE they go about doing what must be done. In fact, God desires to be part of that which we daily do...a MAJOR part!
Look for Him during those eight hours...they will fly by!
Look for Him in those with whom you work...He will surprise you!
Invite Him even into the car as you travel to work and back...He is more than willing to listen!
Invite Him to that game...to that event...to that___________
God wants to be part of all of your day...not just some time allotment when you have time!
God is so good!
Invite Him and His goodness into ALL that you do. Nothing is too menial.

Oh God, You are so good, and You
are part of all of me!
There is nothing I can do
away from You to be!
You see the work that I must do
and You are right beside;
I know success because Your Presence
with me does abide!
I enjoy Your Presence; I
desire, Lord, the same.
You cause success to be mine,
oh, bless Your mighty Name!
I am highly favored as
I go about the day,
and it is due the workings of
the Truth, the Life, the Way!

In the morning, I used to present my list to God and ask Him to go with me. Now, I ask God about His list and ask if I can go with Him!
Whatever your day holds, look for God and ways to include Him in it.

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

Did you know that

Conversation happens
as morning formulates.
How many are the verses
that the dawn dictates?
How many even have the time
to fathom such amount?
Be it time that every man
would make the time to count!

Conversation happens
in words I cannot write...
those upon the wing so early
making such delight!
My Father says "Good Morning!" in
a very special way,
showing me that life will be
so special on this day!

Conversation happens and
inspires even more.
I join in song to God Most High-
that's what I am here for!
He is worthy of all praise,
so beautiful, so real;
it is conversation one
can truly hear and feel!

Conversation happens. Get involved! It may take some listening on the hearers part, but God is speaking to You where You are.
Don't ignore Him!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

That's for you, momma! I so appreciate you. You have invested so much in me. I want the world to know how special you are.
This is only one way to do it!

So many years to sacrifice
for the good of us;
So many reasons have you to
resist and raise a fuss!
But no. You press on, even yet
sacrificing much
so that my wife, myself, my kids
can know your giving touch!

So many years of sacrifice
for the good of many!
Ask her about regrets, she'll say
that she has not any!
So many know her "mother's touch"
beyond her flesh-and-blood,
emotions this life has of her,
they come on like a flood!

So many years of sacrifice--
they yet continue on...
The love that we possess for you,
it never will be gone!
We celebrate you, momma, this day
and so many other!
So fortunate this writer for
to proudly call you "Mother."

Yes, as the verses proclaim, I am so blessed to call you my mother! Thank You for so many years of life, abundant life!
I thank God daily for you as I pray for you.
You are a wonderful blessing, momma!

Greetings.

Mother's Day, 2011, coming up...Praise the Lord!
Does that mean mom has any less honor on the other 364 days? I hope not. That would be criminal!
My mother certainly does! I am so very blessed to still have my mom!
Coming up: I will cause her to be a great-grandmother in a few months!
I certainly pray that she makes it to the point that she can share her wonderful self with my grandkids!
Coming up: a manifestation of the 5th Commandment: Honor your mother!
She was 'less than honorable' to you growing up? Be thankful that she at least chose life for you. Too many children are being denied that blessing these days.
But I do not have to be 'commanded' to love my mother. It is a privilege!
"Happy Mother's Day, mom. You deserve honor!"

Jimmy

Greetings

We are a people of prayer. May we never need a 'proclamation' to prove it!
Though mentioning, ordaining and observing this day may be 'politically incorrect', it will not stop us!

Upon my knees before the Great Almighty
upon my face with Jesus to defend;
upon my feet by Holy Spirit power,
so is our position to the end!

Spit upon by them that would oppose us,
ridiculed by wickedness on high;
persecuted even by the 'righteous,'
yet we tender adoration nigh!

"Gather we in boldness in the open,
proclaiming You are God, in You we trust!
You are over all of this great nation,
the fact You are aware can't be discussed!
We turn, Lord, from the wickedness we savor!
In ashes, we desire to repent!
Each and every one of us is guilty!
Oh God, our every sin may we resent!

We are a nation blessed and highly favored.
Those blessings flow from You, oh God, alone!
You do not give us all that we desire,
nor what we deserve, oh Lord, is known!
No, You are a God of grace and mercy.
And we cry out to You but EVERYDAY!
Turn us back to what You would desire.
Here we are, oh Lord, please lead the way."

In JESUS' Name,
Amen.

Greetings!
As a Christian, we have a lot to celebrate, and not just around spring!
Jesus provided a straight path to God the Father, and we are expected to go to Him with everything...especially with our joys and triumphs!
Our relationship with Jesus is one of the greatest of those joys!
Let's go!

Celebrating in the Holy Place;
reveling in God's abundant grace!
Jesus joining in our celebration!
How fortunate be all that have relation!

Celebrating in the Holy Place,
focusing completely on His face.
He smiles and returns my contemplation;
oh how bless am I to have relation!

Celebrating in the Holy Place-
what a precious refuge from the race!
From time, it is a wonderful vacation!
"Come, my friend. Establish that relation!"

Celebrating in the Holy Place
until the Trumpet Blast would come replace!
Until that grand and glorious ovation,
cultivate that ultimate relation!

Do you celebrate your relationship with Jesus?
If you look at some folks, it's almost as if their relationship is bondage. That's not what God wants!
Jesus alive inside is cause for celebration!
According to His Word, God delights in You!
Why not delight in Him?

In HIS Service and in celebration of HIM,
Jim

Good morning.

The storms have ceased for the moment, and once again, I find myself beside one of God's beautiful creations...

Once again, the current speaks
to them that would receive.
How many be there to interpret
April in the eve?
Whispers of the majesty
constantly created
remind of just how fortunate
that I participated!

Buffalo upon the move,
taking life alive;
depositing sweet memories
into the vault that I've...

The current is to ramble on
due the generation;
man to have a hand in the
Creator's great creation!
Altering the landscape in
a way of awesome power,
and God to use it to amaze
at the appointed hour!

Buffalo upon the move-
life, and so unique;
feel the power of creation,
listen to it speak...

The Buffalo River.
Lay aside your burden and make time to dwell upon the banks...
Your reward awaits!

Blessings on you this day.

Last evening, before service, I sat in the pew with pad and pen while the Holy Spirit assembled words on my sheet.
Later, I sat in awe as Pastor Venable recounted the very message that was on that sheet!
Perhaps it is something that all of us should heed...

"O blind me until I can look
and see without my eyes!
A greater vision in this life
I've got to realize!
Show me the things that God looks at
when He observes the day.
Sanctify my vision for
the Truth, the Life, the Way.

O blind me until I can look
and see my brother's heart.
I want to see the ways I may,
God's precious gifts, impart.
I already look upon him,
help me look into!
I avail myself, oh God,
lead me in what to do!

O blind me until I can look
with vision that is real.
Compassion that is genuine,
o let me not conceal!
It is the calling of ALL men
but stable me alone
that I may stand without reproach
before Your mighty throne!
Amen."

The Holy Spirit is real.
If you allow, He will direct your day in such a way that you come into contact with those who need Jesus. They are everywhere!
However, you must determine and decide to follow the Leader. I promise you, that lead will take you to places you never thought of going!

Greetings

So many issues to be dealt with, but the most important issue is the Blood.
Get back to the basics.
So many 'issues,' but lay aside those issues OFTEN and just spend time with Jesus!
Alone time.
Private time.
Quality time.
There are too many 'things' to embezzle us of time.
And now that we all have a computers and cell phones to take us wherever we want to go whenever, we are almost 'addicted' to them.
If I shut everything out and be alone with God, I get tremors! I go into withdrawals!!

"Time alone with You, oh God.
To such I must return!
That quiet time, just You and I,
oh how did I unlearn?
Computers You have blessed me with,
devices that we own,
it seems they have me in surveillance
when we are alone.
I need to go away from here,
leave all of this behind;
Is there a place that, only You
and I, could this man find?
And what about the rest of them,
could that same place be found
where is not any interference?
Oh, what holy ground!

You and I alone, Lord. It is
possible, I know!
And I will savor it, if I
must force myself to go!
These tools, for they are precious in
the ministry You bless;
help me to use them properly,
and so avert a mess!"

Addicted to "things."
I know that you and I are not...
but I do know some folks that are. We MUST have time ALONE with God.
He will do His part. Will you show up?

In HIS Service,
Jim

Good morning.

Look out the window...

In the searching of the morning
promises are made.
Darkness to surrender and
into the morrow fade...
The glory and the majesty
are present in the new,
and Jesus comes to visit in
the early morning dew!
Oh, the peace and Presence of
the very Son of God!
The all celebration His
great glories to applaud!
He is worthy, He is holy,
He is everything!
He is the that, all of life,
would open to and sing!

In the searching of the morning,
majesty is found,
and unto Him alone we make
that joyful , glorious sound!
Jesus come to guide the day
as we request His will,
Jesus come to join us, oh,
the end of time until!

Jesus is here.
Did you invite Him to participate in your day?
Oh, He'll be there! But there is such a joy, a relief, an expectation in knowing that He will be more than just present, He will be a major part and participant of it!
Ask Him to!

SUNSHINE!

HALLELUJAH!
So grateful is this man that God and His ways are not dependent on the elements!
God is God no matter what happens, and He is available before, during and after the storm.
No matter how bad the storm is, He is right there with us.
Though objects may be swirling around in the room you are in, He is right there with you!
Yes, I've been there. There will be a morning filled with sunshine! Trust Him!

Blessed be the life that is
alive and oh so new!
Sunlight glistens on the drops
of early morning dew.
Peace is on the rise as morning
formulates once more...
why not give glory unto God?
That's what we are made for!

Glory to God!
He is the Maker of the morning...good or bad!
The Bible says "...the Lord gives, the Lord takes away...blessed be the Name of the Lord!"
I don't know how much you lost in the storm. I don't know yet the extent of what we may have lost in the storm!
I DO know that God is right here with us and He will help us to recover.
Join me in trusting Him.

Greetings.

The Buffalo River.
Just last week, I wrote about how peaceful and serene it was to dwell upon its banks.
I tell you what. Just read those words. Stay home and away from those banks today!
Even Buffalo have a temper!
The river is so high and rapid right now that those words do not apply at all!
STAY AWAY! Law enforcement are preventing folks from even going near the river!
The storms in this area have been so bad and so repetitive that the river is very hazardous!
The Buffalo River. Again.
This time,

"Peril is upon us, Father!
Danger is about!
The storms that are, they are so bad
that some are having doubt!
Doubt about your Being,
doubt about Your care!
It is up to those of Yours,
Your custody to share!

Your beautiful creation,
a weapon has become!!
Weather is an issue, Lord,
with tragedy the sum!!
We turn to You for mercy, Father,
Your covering we need!
O calm the atmosphere, oh God,
the elements recede!!

You are God. You are greater
far than any storm!
You say 'Let there be...' oh Lord,
and so does living form!
We repent. We stand before You.
Let Your mercy rain!
Wrap Your Presence all around
that there be no more pain.

In JESUS' Name,
Amen"

Blessings on you.

Each one of us are called to serve.
It's not just the Pastors...
It's not just the Sunday School teachers...
It's not just the job of __________...
Every one of us have been commissioned by Jesus Christ to spread the Good News!
What are we doing about it?

Have I the courage to cry out
"Oh search my heart, my Lord!
Try the workings of my life
to see what they afford.
I have the keys to the Kingdom,
but can others tell?
I must have these answers, Lord,
lest they wind up in Hell!

I must have these answers!
Oh Father, search me out!
I've got to reach out to the ones
inside the jail of doubt!
That firm assurance that resides
inside the Blood alone
I will relate to everyman,
Your victory be known!

I know the answer! I have courage!
Send me, I will go!
The leading of the Holy Spirit
firmly would I know!
The harvest is in front of me,
Your victory, my wake!
Each endeavor for Your glory
would this servant take!

"Here am I, Lord. Send me."

Greetings.

The Morning After...

Who has believed our report?
Who will possibly accept such audacious words as "He is alive again?"
And today, April 25, 2011, folks still reject this very truth!
The torture is refuted...
His physical death is rejected...
the empty tomb is denied...
and those of us who cling to such truths and cast our hope into them fully are viewed as fanatics!
Are you with me?

The world, it is yet astir
from yesterday's events...
Jesus Christ rose from the dead-
who shall we convince?
He sends us into all the world
His truths to freely share,
but we go not alone,
the Holy Spirit will be there!

The Spirit goes ahead of us
preparing every heart.
Those whom He has chosen,
they already have a start!
Each has an appointed time,
destiny is sure;
they must take Jesus in their hearts
if they are to endure!

Who will take His words to heart,
repent, be born again?
Jesus Christ-the One escape
out of the jail of sin!
Here the words of this fanatic
as I write to you!
While there is yet time, make sure
your heart, to Him, is true!

Who has believed our report?
I pray to God that you have!!
I can't make you believe. The Holy Spirit can and will...if you let Him!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

Though a poet may have an arsenal of words and phrases, these be some of the most profound, hopeful AND beautiful:

Good morning.

Saturday. Wanting answers...waiting...listening...
looking around at the throngs that are just as anxious...
Jesus told us about this often. We all heard, but how many listened?

In the silence of the Saturday.
It hurts so badly, but Sunday's on its way!
The hours between death and life drag on!
How many really thought He would be gone?!
He told this to us. Now we see it plain.
Did we take His words with but a grain?
Before is Sunday all across the land,
so many things we cannot understand!

The eve before the morning He arose.
So very many issues no one knows!
The 'leaders' unto whom we are to look,
now gloat the One they say profaned their book!!
Are there any answers to be found?
If so, no one is making any sound!
How can one make sense of this event?
All of life's emotions are as spent.

In the silence of the Saturday...
What on earth is Heaven to convey?
Is there life to be from life that was?
Jesus Christ gave life, and He still does!

Do you have questions? Jesus Christ is THE Answer!
What are you doing today?
If you are looking for answers, I'd love to hear from you!

Good Morning.

'Technological advances...'
The 'finest,' most effective techniques of the day...
The most 'refined' means to accomplish a task...
Is this what was afforded our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

Of course you remember the movie a few years back "The Passion of the Christ?"
They used the most effective, most advanced forms of torture upon His body.
They did not simply kill Jesus. They made sure that He felt the pain. They made sure that He felt the anger. They made sure that it was a very slow death...
Good Friday. Good Friday? GOOD Friday?!
What's so good about it?!
I can't hardly bear to think of what Jesus went through.
It hurts to even reflect upon what He endured...

Oppressed and afflicted,
silent to remain.
For to be obedient
must He bear the pain.
Taken from the prison.
From judgment, far removed.
For to so declare His
generation we're behooved!

Cut off from the living,
stricken for mankind;
entombed among the wicked-
in such, this man to find!
At death, though, with the wealthy,
as sin He did not know;
thus could He, to His Father,
for my transgressions, go.

The Servant, He is passive,
His Deity avowed.
Humiliated...beaten...killed...
it had to be allowed!
Else then would we all be
most miserable of men;
indebted am I ever,
for I am born again!

Forever indebted.
It is a debt that cannot be repaid.
Perhaps that is why God gives salvation to us as a gift.
Perhaps it is called "good" Friday because Sunday is only two days away?

Jim Busby

Blessings on you this day.

Look with me, across the miles...

Easter in another place,
home so far away...
Traditions held so very dear
will not have their way...
Loved ones are not "present" as
the term would so apply,
yet, all about, by ones upon whom
living would rely!

Easter in another place,
but hearts be there, as well!
"You are in our prayers!" If but
there was a way to tell!
Oh may they 'feel' the petitions
raised on their behalf;
may we pray they spend their Easter
with meal, song and laugh!

Easter in another place,
so foreign, far away...
reality be present in
the Truth, the Life, the Way.
Jesus Christ be just as real
no matter the location;
and the same truth be about:
What is heart-relation?

Easter in another place,
oh, but Truth remains!
Jesus is alive beyond
the lies, the truth, the pain!
He offers yet relationship
past Who or what or where!
"Christ the Lord is risen!" Shout it
even over there!

Are you serving this country this Easter? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
Do you have a friend or family serving this Easter? Please give them our thanks!!
Please let them know that we are grateful and we pray that they have an enjoyable Resurrection day!
Thank you.

A few more things to ponder this week...

The crowds are roaring "CRUCIFY!!"
Is my own voice heard?
Lies and accusations fly,
do I say a word?
Reviling even comes from them,
what has this man said?
Will I get caught up in 'emotion,'
or be real instead?

"CRUCIFY! CRUCIFY!"
in anger, voices swell!
I will take a stand for Him,
but will my actions tell?
I will take a stand for Christ
but will it be with heart?
Will I speak? Will I defend
that life He would impart?

"CRUCIFY! CRUCIFY!!"
But how can this be real?!
He's lost so much blood! Beaten so!
How can He even feel?!
Yet somehow, His eyes catch mine,
inaction finds me out-
known be all my questions,
insecurities and doubt.

"CRUCIFY...CRUCIFY..."
listen to the years...
Cry out for Jesus! He's alive!
Defy the shame and fears!!
Boldly live for Him Who lives
that life would be your own!
Stand up for the only One
who's able to atone!

Are you going to stand out in the crowd?

In HIS Service,
Jim

Blessings on you this day.

Stop. Take a moment to think about something with me...

How glorious, the violence...
how beautiful, the death...
how priceless be the carnage that
assures eternal breath!

And wonderful, the blessing that
He chose to love us each.
Into the hearts and minds and souls
continues He to reach!
Distance cannot be a factor
of His perfect love,
it is raining without limit
from His throne above!

So glorious is Jesus,
regardless of the path...
so beautiful is He, in spite
of the fruits of wrath!
Man to have his way, but God
to use it for His own-
in the glory of His Son
our victory is known!

Glorious...beautiful...priceless...
Jesus Christ, the Lord!
Body, soul and spirit, in Him
all to be restored!

All to be restored.
Jesus Christ is life!
Jesus Christ is new life...constantly!
He went through all that He did so that we would not have to!
He died for us. May we live for Him.

In HIS Service,
Jim Busby

Sunday.

Seven days left. Just a "week?"
Not to One...

Seven days away from life,
what shall they contain?
One week until life will be...
how can it bear the pain?!
Of course, the week ahead is known
because He is all-knowing;
He sees each day with clarity,
yet, boldly forward, going!

Seven days. Known to One-
the only One to pay.
Jesus Christ is well aware,
the Truth, the Life, the Way.
One week to deal with all that I
would cause Him in this life--
the multitude of my transgression,
ignorance and strife!

Seven days...but will I turn away
where He goes on?
The persecution, tumult, betrayal rises,
is the passion gone?!
My worship and my dedication
strengthening the week?
Looking into each of our hearts,
what does Jesus seek?

Seven days. I will not be
the cause of Jesus' tears!
Before the rocks cry out, He will
receive my fervent cheers!
I cannot hold my peace due all
that He is going through!
I have to share the love of Jesus
with such souls as you!

Seven days. What do they mean to you? What WILL they mean to you?

In HIS Service,
Jim

Blessings on you today!
Our God is surely able to guide and guard better than anyone or anything!
Do you trust Him?
Do you even know Him?

"You are God and You are able,
able more than all
to carry me, to capture me,
to keep me from the fall!
I cast myself into Your grace,
from reason, so apart,
and You receive me as I am
and tie me to Your heart!

You are God and You are able,
and so far beyond!
Exceedingly, abundantly,
into me is Your bond!
Greater is the love You have, Your
EVERYTHING is greater!
I desire, oh my God,
to be participator!!"

God is so real! He provides life in Jesus and desires YOU to participate!
Jesus went through this next week so that You CAN participate!
Don't just "sit on the sidelines!"
GO FOR IT!

Blessings on you this day.

"Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world."
I so cling to the comfort that such truth holds...even this morning.
The storms came overnight. Pain remains. Lives were lost. Healing is happening even as I write...

So many things cannot be understood.
"How can such as this be used for good?!"
Don't tell me I will "understand in time..."
Listen to the numbers as they climb...

For there in One to understand it all,
He is the One Who gives us each a call.
Only God can answer at this time,
sorting out the reason and the rhyme.
Into His grace alone we now must turn,
and let the bridge us freely burn.
There is life ahead beyond this storm,
and newer be the days that wait to form!

So many things we cannot understand-
it is those things we place in to His hand
and leave them there for Him to sort them out;
'moving on' is what it's all about!

Healing happens. Repair happens. Loss is eventually accepted...and compensated for.
Please pray for us as we look ahead to that time.

In HIS Service,
Jim

It's all about Jesus.

But ask God, He may tell you that it is all for you! That is why His Word has been kept alive since time began. That is why Jesus came in the first place! It's all about Jesus, but Jesus is for you! What are you for?

My Savior, it is all about You,
as I live my day.
Oh let my every breath be spent
pointing out The Way!
There is none like You, Lord Jesus,
there is not another;
much more than a friend and even
closer than a brother!

Have you discovered Jesus in such a way? He is available for you! That is what He wants!
Don't let anything hold you back!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

Nothing new beneath the sun?

Nowhere in the present
nowhere in the past
nowhere in the anytime
has such a stir amassed!
People are rebelling...
there is murder in the heart!
Look deep inside yourself, my friend,
decide what is YOUR part!

The days that are...
Are they any different from 2000 years ago?
Is Jesus Christ still being crucified?
He is either your friend or your enemy. There is no in-between.
The stir that He caused back then shook the world.
Is He shaking the world again, or is it still reeling from the time He spent in our midst?

"You affect the one we are
one life at a time.
You shake us to the very core
so far beneath the grime!
You go beyond persuasion,
race or even sex;
and there, upon the naked heart,
Your perfect love connects!
We need You at that level,
we need You everyday.
You need to show us what it means
to live the Narrow Way!
We need to dash our 'policies,'
to which we dearly cling,
and grasp the Truth that You've been speaking
through the ages' ring!

How long are we to wander?
The wilderness, it bites!
I must learn to submit to You
and stop demanding 'rights!'
For generations You have shown
the path that I must choose.
I must devour, Lord, Your Word
instead of evening news."

Rebellion. It's nothing new. It's not even appalling anymore, because every one of us has it in our own hearts.
What are you going to do about it?
What am I going to do about it?
What are we going to do about it...

In HIS Service,
Jim Busby

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

God is so good. If allowed, He will speak to You words to directly address the situation that you are living.
On the other hand, if you are close enough to hear, He will address it even if not allowed!

You see what I am going through
and I am not alone.
In the constancy of day
Your Presence, Lord, is known.
You find a way to let me know
when I have sought all ways;
Regardless of environs, I
have always cause to praise!

How can I explain this to
the one apart from You?
There is so much inside You, Lord,
for what he's going through!
Even them that are Your own
so often find it odd
when I describe to them the love
between me and my God!

How wonderful, relationship!
So personal, so real!
Something I can hold on to,
something I can 'feel.'
God alive in everything
that one may call the 'day...'
far greater than 'permission' to
direct me on The Way!

God is in control. Even when others refuse to give Him control, He still owns it.
Why fight it?

In HIS Service,
Jim

Good morning.

How many years ago to sit
with prostitutes and kings?
How far back must we go
to overlook such things?
"I can't go pray for HER! What will
the elders have to say?!"
If someone sees me go 'in there'
there might be hell to pay!

How long will we let 'attitudes'
dictate ministry?
Did God consider such when He
came and rescued me?
No, He came into that place
where 'righteousness' was rare,
came over to my table, smiled,
and sat down in a chair!

I do not hear "What if..." "But wait!"
when life is from the heart.
With grace and understanding does
that conversation start.
And if I cannot sit with those
with whom He dines as yet,
the greatest calling in this life
I might as well forget.

God is going to call you to do something today.
Your heart will tug at you...
the Holy Spirit will prompt you...
Are you going to respond, or will you cave to what others may think of your
obedience?

In HIS Service,
Jim 7093

Good day to you

Life anew is plenty rife now: trees are almost fully dressed...
grounds are ready to mow...
those places that are never touched by mowers are developing shades of hue that cause memories...
those upon the wing are in abundance and replete with songs that are afresh!
But it is seasonal.
Life is abounding, however, one that is not 'seasonal!' God is alive within, without, in and around, and He is constant!
Look...

I see Him in the buds that are

awaiting for to bloom...

I see Him in the flowers that

emit such sweet perfume...

I see Him in the trees that dance

with, oh the slightest breeze...

I see Him in the birds that frolic

in the limbs with ease!

Seasonal? Not really.
Beautiful? ABSOLUTELY!
Visible? That is completely up to you.
What will you choose to see today?

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings. "Look" at the wind this morning...

Whispers hard that none may see
dance with every tired tree
as birds of several catagory
write another vesper story.
In the breeze that is quite able,
God approaches on the table
offering His open hand
to any that receive command.
Them that listen to His voice
are given cause for to rejoice
as He completes them, every One,
as they receive His only Son!

Thus, as whispers, hard or soft,
are spoken low or high aloft,
standing firm can surely be
in Jesus--our Security!

Are the winds at work in your life?
Do the gusts seem to blow against you?
Get to know the One Who creates the wind, and He will seal You in His love...
a love that contains all you need to conquer!
THE LOVE that is all you need to conquer!
God has that kind of love. Ask for it!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

In the morning of the day
Creator Jesus comes my way.
The radiance that He contains
obscures my very many stains.
For in the Presence of The King
I am cleansed of everything!
And there I stand in beauty fair
due Him with glory 'yond compare!
The morning of the day, therefore,
to turn to silence that would roar!
Jesus Christ alone appear
and there be only glory near:
a newer glory to the place...
a greater life upon my face...
a more abundant living all
with His grace about me fall!

Oh, the morning of the day
with Him-the Truth, the Life, the Way!
No other start be sought by living-
Jesus--life, and life so giving!

"Good" morning? It is with Jesus alive in your heart!
"Good" morning? For some, it is only a hope to which they cling, because the pain is so bad!
If it is a "good" morning for you, remember Who it is that is good, and don't forget to pray for those who are not having such a good one.

Blessings on you this day!

Praise the Mighty Name of JESUS!!
The glory of His Majesty is without comparison! The poet even struggles to capture it in verse...

The splendor of the One Who died for me-
is it too great for terminology?
Such to be dilemma one time more...
who be up to such challenge as before?
Dare any man attempt for to embrace
the glory and the majesty of Grace?
But even the most learned has a quest-
will that which be composed turn out so blessed?

"Glory, splendor, majesty so grand!"
Will we ever come to understand
the fullness of the One that we exalt,
or will it only be the final fault?

The final fault: being unable to fully comprehend God. I guess it will be my 'handicap' forever!

Jim

Good morning. Again?

On another morning,
in another place,
talking to my Father,
receiving of His grace.
He will never leave us,
He will not forsake;
His covenant is settled,
and it will never break!

On another morning...
but closer to THAT Day
with Jesus here to guide us,
the Truth, the Life, the Way!

In a foreign land? First day on a new job? A hospital waiting room?!
God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, and He will not leave us nor
forsake us!
Reach out for Him! Cling to Him! Trust Him as you go through wherever You
are!!
He is right there, and you are NOT forgotten!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

"God is good, God is great..." we've heard it all of our lives.
But just how real are those words in your life?

Greater is the Lord, for there
is nothing to compare!
No one dare approach The One
Who comes to only share!
Our Father come in flesh--Lord Jesus--
there is only One:
God our Father, God the Holy Spirit,
God the Son!

Greatness--it is spoken of
so flippantly of late.
But, when words are finished,
God is good and God is great!
After all is said and done,
God yet stands alone:
One without an imperfection,
One for to atone!

Yes, greater is the Lord Jesus,
and greater He will be
beyond this living as we know
and through eternity!
Be there as You make Him Lord
and Savior over all,
then You will know His greatness in
the greatest of life's call!

Be there with those of us who have Him alive inside of our hearts!
Ask Jesus to be there Lord of your life.
Know His greatness!!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

Are you saved this day? How do you know for sure?
Who/what is your assurance?

Who is gonna save us, oh,
but not another be!
Only Jesus Christ the Lord
contains true liberty!
Being God, He encountered
all that we would face,
then offers Himself unto us--
Grace, no greater grace!

Who's gonna save us now? His Name,
is Jesus, He is Lord!
That which He avails us
none other may afford!
Peace that has not any peer,
healing--ever whole!
Eradicator of my sin,
I give Him all control!

Who is gonna save us? There should
be not any doubt!
Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
we cannot be without!
The power in the Blood to settle
every issue here!
"There is none like You, oh Lord!
We have not any fear!"

Who are you depending on for salvation?
What are you trusting in for your salvation?
Jesus, only Jesus can save you!
Trust Him!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

On this day, my heart must cry out

"You are more, Lord Jesus,
than I will ever be.
The vision You contain, for it
enables me to see!
Your emotions, Lord, somehow
enable me to feel;
You are more, Lord Jesus,
You are oh, so very real!

...more than pleasures of this life
that quickly fade away...
more than treasures known to us
whose worth would rust and fray...
more than earthly promises
made by simple man...
what You are and Your promises--
perfect be such plan!!

You are more, Lord Jesus, and
You give to such as we.
There be no greater way to live
in all eternity
than being Born Again--the Blood
the One and only Way!
You are more, Lord, even more
than poet e'er could say!"

And more of Jesus, my desire as I live this temporary life!
Do you desire such?
Does your very being cry out such unto Him?
He is worthy!

In HIS Service,
Jim

Greetings.

"Lord of all the living,
You are celebrated!
To lift You up and edify You,
God, we are created!
There is none like You--
for You are Life, You are alive!
In You we live and move and breathe,
in You, oh Lord, we thrive!

Lord of all that living,
You are the Life we live!
Every time I turn around
You give...and give...and give!
There is none like You,
no other thing could take Your place!
None could match Your glory, no!
Nothing could replace!

Lord of all the living,
(and, oh, the Life You are!)
in You we become alive,
oh Bright and Morning Star!
"Live through us, Lord!" this we cry
as we're amongst the living!
Lord of all of life You are,
And constantly so giving!"

Oh, the Life that Jesus Christ is!
Is He such life within You? He can be. He wants to be!
Open Your heart and invite Him to dwell there. All You have to do is ask!
Don't let anything in this living stop you!!

Greetings .

Ahh...the end of day...

"Carry on, oh whisper,
how far will you convey?
You are the only motion as
is ending up the day.
Already you contain the hints
cognition to suffice,
and now you bring to life an ease
that has not any price!

Carry on, oh whisper,
you are far more than breath!
As you brush across the brow
we hear the words "Thus saith..."
Speak to us of life anew,
speak of life beyond...
mind us of the words of Him
of Whom we are so fond!

Carry on, oh whisper,
you are far more than breeze.
In your grasp we realize,
in this life, but an ease.
A respite for a moment in
the bustle of the hour.
Blessed be your subtlety
and overwhelming power!"

Shhh...
Stop... Listen... Feel...
Have you the time to?
It's worth it.
So often, in that breeze, there is a "...still, small voice."
Make time to find It.

Good Morning.

"What's in a name?" That is a term that I have heard for many years. And though it implies many things, it could never be more important than when we refer to Him...

THE High Priest...Wonderful...
Messiah...Counselor...
Propitiation for our sins...
Who could ask for more?!

Prince of Peace...Lord of lords,
mighty King of kings...
unto the One Who's all of these
forever my soul sings!

"Oh Jesus Christ, my risen Lord,
You're all of the above!
And I just cannot live, my Lord,
without Your perfect love!
And yea, though there are many names
so fitting unto Thee,
they just don't mean that much, until
You, our Savior, be!

To many out there in the world
these names don't mean too much;
but, Lord, do they get precedence
when is applied Thy touch!
Help me, oh God, ensure the power
of Thy holy Names
by making sure, Thy grace to them,
this humble man proclaims!"

Only names? No, Names!
See to it that those Names have place in your heart!
The Names of God. So beautiful!

Good Morning.

Ever have one of those mornings that came too early?
They happen occassionally, but to some, they happen for a reason...

Darkness be upon us,
almost four a.m....
yet the darkness is unknown
as I am up with Him!
I couldn't sleep because of
situations that abound,
yet as I rose the One Who rose
was easy to be found!

Though I cannot sleep, I do not
have to be alone.
My precious Friend, Lord Jesus Christ,
has stepped down from His throne.
And He is sitting here with me
discussing issues through
and making sure I understand
exactly what to do.

Though I don't understand the wise
of all the things that be,
what to do about it is
explained so unto me
by the Holy One Who has
redeemed my very soul,
Who, e'en in early morning, can
come down and make me whole!

What a blessing to have a friend as close as Jesus.
What a blessing to have Jesus Who is closer than a friend!
At all hours He is here.
At all hours He is there with all wisdom.
What a Friend I have in Jesus.
Do you?
708

Good morning.

Prayer. Merely 'words?'

My hope and my deliverance
is in One Man alone;
and it is His Name that I cry
drawing to the Throne!
Approaching Jesus Christ, in Whom
this man is born again,
reassures my soul that I
am surely gonna win!

For this old world can make me feel
defeated, so, at times,
but I call out His holy Name
and then my spirit climbs!
He helps me to ascend above
wherever I have been
and says "Take courage, oh My son,
in Me you're born again!"

The victory He brings to me,
what can tongue recite?!
Any earthly language does
His joy so put to flight!
To be described alone in those words
known to only Three:
the Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
clearly, they hear me!

Words to Three. Often? I hope so!!
For they are so vital in being victorious in this life!

In HIS Service,
Jim
