FURTHER Prayer Request and Update for:
Aidyn, and his family
UPDATE
Our little guy is now back home after scaring everyone half
silly. He was running 104.9 rectally but it is coming down
and he was stable when they decided to send him back home.
Courtny is to give him ibuprofen and tylenol, alternating
them to keep him comfortable. He has a virus, according to
his own pediatrician who saw him at the hospital, that will
have to work its way out. His asthma also kicked in. Poor
little fellow is having a lousy time. Thank you for your prayers
on his behalf. ~Sue
ORIGINAL PRAYER REQUEST
Got a phone call from our Granddaughter, Courtny. Her son,
Aidyn Mikel, was being taken to the hospital by ambulance.
He had 103 fever. He had not felt good over the week end and
had diarhea. I thought at the time it could have been something
he ate. He had munched down on some pizza that the adults
thought might have caused the same problem for them. I haven't
heard from her since the phone call asking for prayer for
him, so will update as soon as she fills me in. He will be
2 years old August 5th. His Grammy is also asking for prayers
for this little guy. Thanks Warriors. ~Sue

FURTHER Prayer Request and Update for:
Natalie Belmonte's family
Harriet, my dear, see below from Ana regarding Natalie Belmonte’s
family. This is a very painful case, now the Natalie’s
adopted son, who in reality is her nephew, was charged with
her murder. This family will need to be covered in prayer
for the days ahead will be painful. Thank you again for your
and the prayer warrior’s faithfulness to the Lord’s
service. God bless! ~Millie Ramos
MESSAGE FROM ANA
It’s been a very difficult week and today we said our
final farewell to Natalie in a beautiful mass and the outpour
from all friends and family has been overwhelming. I took
Natalie’s mom after the service home and had some personal
time with her and she is an amazing woman blessed with a beautiful
family and she is holding on to our Lord very much. Natalie’s
brother, Reggie, is a believer and he spoke beautifully about
our Lord Jesus at yesterday’s service and this morning
and I am confident that our Lord is doing great things in
this family. They are a very close and united family and I
reminded Cheryl today that He does not give you more than
you can handle and her family is very strong and blessed and
they are all going to get through this.
Please thank everyone for their prayers and love and just
ask them that to continue to keep the Belmonte and Lopes’
family in their prayers since after everyone goes back to
their normal routine, this family will need to be even more
covered with prayer as life continues. Thanks for everything
my friend! ~Ana

Update on doctor's visit. For those of you that know my son
please at this time do not repeat this to him or his wife.
Things did not go well Friday. We were there for 3hrs waiting
for answers and got none.Did more blood test relunctly. I
was very very upset. They wanted to over ride my doctor here
and they told us they didn't have the reports back, not so,
I checked ahead of time They want to see me back in Oct. I
will not be returning!!! I'am going to trust that I have made
the right choice. They still think there is still something
there and they are probably right, but I serve a MIGHTY GOD
it's in His hands. We don't want Matt to know right now because
he needs his attention on Theo and Amber.
Pray for them they found out today that Theo is being bull
headed about coming.. He is breeched right now pray that he
will turn himself upside down. Thank you. ~Debby

Please keep Ray in your prayers as we await the Doctor's report.
Message from Marilyn, Ray's wife
Ray came home yesterday. After a visit with the surgeon,
Dr. Nickel was somewhat concerned that his knee was still
swollen and that he couldn't sit for a moderate amount of
time, so he had a blood draw to make sure there was no infection.
Will hear next week. Keeping a positive attitude and continuing
in prayer.

Thank you prayer warriors for your prayers! I went thru the
upper GI test really good, although no report on the test
as of yet, and the barium wasn’t so bad after all J
I am sorry that I did not update everyone sooner, but the
dental procedure was cancelled till the 10th of Aug. So I
continue to have pain in my tooth. So please continue to pray
that the root is not cracked and that all will go OK when
I finally have the gum cut open. But the good news is that
my regular dentist said he is going to pay half of the bill
that the specialist charges since it is not covered by my
insurance, praise the Lord!!! My dentist is amazing, he has
cut so many charges in half for me over the years, what a
blessing, only God!!! Pray also as I go on Aug. 2nd to CMH
lab to have a tube put down my nose that has to stay there
for 24 hours as they measure stuff going on in my stomach.
I then return the next day to have it taken out, this doesn’t
sound so fun, yuck! So pray that it doesn’t hurt and
that I can tolerate it and that nothing major is going on
in my stomach. Pray for healing in my body overall.
Thank you so much and to God be the glory! Heaven on Earth,
God’s will be done J

Update on Vince: In regards to below, Rhonda did get a ticket,
thanks to a friend, but please also pray for financial provision
as I have been told that the place Vince is at is not covered
by his insurance. This is a very tuff time for the Vince and
his family please pray for a miracle. To God be the glory!
~Karen
UPDATE FROM RHONDA
Rhonda just called and the news is not good. The Doctors
say that the cancer is terminal as it has spread to his lungs
and liver. They’re getting him a room and just keeping
him comfortable as they don’t feel his has much time
left. Rhonda and family are of course, devastated. Rhonda
is trying to get a ticket to fly back, so please pray for
God’s provision. We know that God’s healing power
is so much greater than any diagnosis that Doctors pronounce
and I believe that God can intervene and give a miracle healing.
Please keep Vince, Rhonda and the entire family in your prayers
as they are desperately needed. I’ll keep you updated
as I receive news.

FURTHER Prayer Request and Update for:
Karen and Richard Carmichael
Ventura, California
Hi all,
Just a quick update on my crazy body. The medication that
I started at the end of June for fatigue seemed to work okay.
However I developed "hot flashes" twice a day a
few days after starting the medication. I am on Hormone Replacement
Therapy so having hot flashes just shouldn't be happening.
However after stopping the medication the hot flashes have
continued. The vitamin D supplement is working great. I have
really begun to notice a difference in my outlook the last
week or so, which is great to be back to normal in that aspect
of my life.
I had another Epidural on Friday. The pain had reached the
point of unbearable on and off each day. I am glad I had it
done. I am already noticing a difference and should reach
full benefit in the next day or two.
I see my Rheumatologist on Tuesday and the Pain Management
Doctor on Wednesday this week. At the first appointment we
are going to go over my medication list and try and identify
what is causing the hot flashes. At the pain doctor it will
be the regular monthly appointment.
Please pray that the cause of the hot flashes is figured
out and that a medication to battle fatigue get started again..
God Bless,
~Karen
P.S. Please pray that Richard gets back to his second teaching
job in mid-August, Oxnard College goes back August 20.

We are doing ok so far and praying for relief from the high
temps. It is very hot and humid. I pray the electric stays
on. Supposed to be 115 today. There is no breeze out this
morning. The birds are hid in our big tree.
Doctor said yesterday that he heard no pneumonia in Bill's
lungs just the wheezing from the interstitial fibroses. I
praise and thank our Lord for healing the pneumonia . Bill
has lost 10 pounds since he has been sick although he has
a good appetite. He is very weak and has to have help walking.
Our daughter in law, Lorrie, who is a registered nurse, drove
us to the doc and also stopped at the Olive Garden and picked
up our dinner for last evening, with enough food left over
for today. Our son, Chris, went to the grocery store for us
yesterday. We are blessed and thankful to our Lord God for

Ventura County, California
Hi there!!!
Just wanted to give you the latest on my Dad. When I got to
the hospital this morning before I went to work he told me
he had a rough night. Apparently, he had what is called ventricular
tachycardia. Because he has so much equipment monitoring him
they caught it in time and were able to get everything under
control. When I went back this evening to the hospital he
was looking tired but when I brought him some magazines he
perked up and began reading them to me. He was hoping to be
in rehab by now but the cardiologist has him in this unit
until he is 48 hours free of incident so we have about 30
more hours to go~Please continue to agree Jeremiah 30:17a
"For I will restore health to you and heal your of your
wounds,"
Please also be praying for my brother who is continuing to
look for work and has high anxiety. Psalm 107:13-16
Thank you for all your prayers and caring. They have helped
to sustain us as the Lord walks us through this. Now, I'm
going to get some sleep! Psalm 3:5 Sofia

in all of this. My desire is for it to be normal, but God
may have other plans. If it doesn't I have decided to leave
things as is. God has been with me so far, the road has not
been easy, but His ways are always better, not always easy.

Dana and Robert, and their unborn babies
I am so happy to send this note out. Blue Ridge Prayer Warrior
Janet called me a few minutes ago with an update on her prayer
request for her grandson and granddaughter. After the devastating
news this morning, they returned home, prayed all morning,
went back to the doctor's office this evening and informed
him of their decision. THEY WERE NOT GOING TO ABORT THE BABY!
They told him that God placed it there and He would take care
of it no matter what. Either way, they would accept His decision,
but they would not abort the baby. The doctor looked at them
and said:
"I think it would be best to abort this fetus, but the
problem could straighten itself out in 5-6 weeks." So
please keep Dana and Robert in your prayers and the two babies
that Dana is packing that both will thrive and survive 4½
more months to full gestation and she will deliver 2 healthy,
happy babies. God answered our prayer even before it was asked.
Praise and Glory to His name.

HI
Thanks for your prayers.. Kim called and Goodie is on her

with COPD and is taking oxygen home with her.. they said if
the pill had lodged in her lung the other night it "could"
have dissolved before she got to the hospital since there
was a long delay getting her there.. she had been unable to
breathe at all without the oxygen so the pill could have damaged
the lung? Her only lung! Speculation, since no pill was found
but sounds reasonable since she had such a time breathing
(and still does without the oxygen)..
Praise God , he was there with her and directed the doctors

July 18th, hopefully sooner - strep again.
UPDATE Jun 16, 2011 3:01pm
Well after the ENT visit and surgeon visit, they fit her in
for July 18th. This is concerning because her strep incidents
are hitting faster and more furious. She was diagnosed again
today and hasn't even been off antibiotics for 5 days from
the last bout. This time, she got a shot of penicillin in
the leg. The only antibiotic left is one the doc said was
extremely nasty to the gut, often causing colitis. This will
be disastrous for the few inches of intestine Callie actually
has which really hasn't fully recovered from the last 3 rounds
of antibiotics. She just has it continually. I don't want
her to be sick on the 18th and then they postpone. The surgeons
office never faxed Dr. B (her PCP) her info from the visit
so Dr. B can't call and petition that she get in for surgery
at an earlier date. I've made several calls but haven't heard
back. Please pray Callie can get this procedure earlier. Callie
is in good spirits right now. I am grateful for you prayers.
I'll keep you updated about if we get in any earlier.
Will update,

Charity, Gayle, Earl...and others in the fire areas
Arizona
Thank you for your continued prayers.
Charity is starting into the canyon 7:16. No trouble with
her car from our home to the canyon. Treacherous driving in
the canyon, no cell phone reception, and her messed up car.
So all prayers are appreciated. If we haven’t heard
from her by 10:16 we will head ourselves for the canyon…
12,000 people are displaced in her area. She says that the
fire moved away from the border patrol station, so that is
where she is headed.
Winds are quiet here and there, but fire makes its own “weather.”

WALLOW (our area):
“The fire weather conditions include continued low
dew point values, record or near-record heat and powerful
winds. Wind gusts around the now infamous Wallow Fire will
approach 50 or even 60 mph on Saturday and Sunday. Extensive
safety precautions must be in place as these vicious winds
will create life-threatening conditions for all personnel
waging a fight against the fires. The winds may be so ferocious
on Saturday and Sunday that attempts to gain some containment
on the various wildfires could prove futile. Moreover, with
winds fanning flames, smoke will become more widespread especially
across the state of New Mexico. Air quality will continue
its decline over parts of the Southwest including Albuquerque.”

Earl and I do so appreciate your prayers for the protection
of these areas, as well as St. Johns and our city, Concho.
We presently have an average wind speed here of 33 mph. Gusts
are probably 40-45, and the wind has been gradually worsening.
MONUMENT (our daughter’s area):
The wind is 20-25 in Hereford with heavier gusts averaging
28mph. It sounds like the situation is deteriorating again
around our daughter’s home. Our friend, Bill, almost
laughed a couple days ago when I asked if they might be evacuating.
(I had misread something.) He said that he was in the middle
of Sierra Vista and was quite safe. He sent an email today
saying that he is in pre-evac.
Another prayer request… My niece is Hannah Ford, the

she has had one of her serious migraines since yesterday.
Please pray for her and also my sister Cheri and pastor hubby

us hasn’t helped, I’m sure.) Thank you so much.

UPDATE JUNE 17, 2011
Good news on Ray
What a difference a day makes (sounds like a song). He's much
better today and alert; however, he is still having a lot
of pain in his knee. He's on antibiotics, as he has a slight
temperature. Dr. Nickel was going to come in today, we thought.
He's not getting therapy, so that is a worry. He had two units
of blood last night and whatever is in his drip for sodium.
We'll see how he does during the night with pain.
Thanks so much for prayers.

UPDATE FROM KEVIN
Hi, just want to give you an update on Spanky. He had a check
up with a new vet on Monday. She said his lungs sounded very
good and was happy that she could hear his heart throughout
his body. She said that means that little or no fluid is around
his heart at this time. She did may it clear that this tumor
is very tough and has a lot of blood vessels that could rupture
causing fluid but cant predict the timing. I am continuing
The holistic approach as it seems to be helping. He has energy
like normal and is on an all protein diet! (He eats better
meals than me!) I am going to get x-rays and an echocardiogram
done in 2-3 weeks to see if there is any changes in the tumor.
ill keep you posted.

FURTHER Prayer Request and Update for:
Charity Anderson, and her parents
Arizona
This was the decision of Charity and Earl—not mine.
Earl and Charity left to pick up her car. Charity will drive
it back here to our home. If she doesn’t have significant
trouble with it—getting it here—she plans on driving
it back down to her work area tomorrow. Two mechanics from
a distance (different companies) both said that they believe
that a chip needs to be replaced. The chip, they say, signals
that something is wrong that really isn’t. The signal
shuts down the engine—to protect it. They both believe
that the car is drivable without any damage to its engine,
etc. The episodes are very sporadic. She got all the way through
the Salt River Canyon yesterday without one, whereas she had
about three from her home to the Salt River Canyon. She won’t
be on any freeways, so if she has any more trouble, she can
pull off and start the engine.
She plans to leave at dawn’s early light (miss church,
sadly) so she can get through the worst of the driving before
it gets hot. And, yeah, she will bring a lot of water. Sigh.
The big problem is that her car is having specific Saturn
issues, and she doesn’t trust them up here to help her.
She wants the car to go to her friend whom she does trust.
He’s a sweet old guy who would do just about anything
for Charity. He even suggested that he might drive up here
to tow her car back to his place. Charity wouldn’t do
that to him, though. He says that if he is correct about what
is wrong it should be only a hundred dollar repair.. Of course
he could be wrong. But the story that the guy up here gave
is full of holes. Both places that she checked with elsewhere
said that the car couldn’t drive at all if her “throttle
body” had burned.
So, she leaves in the morning unless God says otherwise.
She can get no information on whether her home is standing.
She thinks it is. But there are to be horrific winds both
today and tomorrow down there. Whether the firefighters can
hold the line is one huge question. We’re in the same
situation up here, although we are farther from the flames.
But we’re supposed to get bad winds this afternoon and
seriously bad winds tomorrow. We’re in God’s hands.
Your prayers are huge right now. Thank you.
PS Charity plans on moving into a motel down there near the
border patrol station. She got a room for tomorrow night and
will see how things go from there. The motel is within walking
distance of her work. (It is used almost exclusively by those
at the border patrol.) Her mechanic friend’s garage
is only blocks away. She figures that this area will be home
until she can figure out what to do. Your prayers are so huge
right now that God will lead her and protect her. Thank you
ever so much.

UPDATE FROM MARILYN FINK
Ray Fink was taken by ambulance to CMH today around 12 noon.
He was disoriented, agitated and delusional. He was admitted
to Room 405 around 5:30. His sodium was low, as well as "red
blood cells," not exactly the way they said it. Also,
the Norco they were giving him (I believe) played a big part
in his condition. Anyway, he lies with his eyes closed and
his hands constantly moving. He's trying to sing some, but
we can't make out the words or tune exactlty. Fortunately,
his oldest daughter, Sharon, from Pasadena, was there with
me when the doctor for the Victoria Care Center told the charge
nurse by phone to call 9-1-1. Pastor Dave came to the E.R.
around 1:00 or 1:30 to greet and pray. Fortunately, Ray will
not remember this; however, his pain will return and they
have to decide what to give him. They were going to give him
2 units of blood tonight, but he has a temperature and they
are giving antibiotics first.

(118 miles) and pick her up. They plan to leave the car at
the GM dealership there in Globe and return (118 miles) here.
Thank you for your prayers. Please pray that our car will

The town of Eagar is back on pre-evac. So, we’re back
to needing prayer again for our area. The evac is primarily
being called because the winds are just plain miserable. So,
an ember from the Wallow Fire could touch off a firestorm.
We aren’t out of the woods yet, people. Thank you for
your prayers for us. I am going to need prayer especially
because I will be by myself out here for most of the day tomorrow

UPDATE June 16, 2011 3:04 pm
SHE'S OUT! Thank you for your prayers. As soon as she got
out, I guess, they declared a mandatory evacuation for her
area. Her next-door neighbors did get out. I don’t know
and may never know about the lady who refused to leave. The
fire moved so fast once it got over the 92. That is our concern
up here, as well. One spark and this whole area would be up
in flames and especially in these kinds of winds. We have
to trust the Lord that He will take care of us. One day at
a time.
If anyone is good at checking out road closures, could someone
see if there is a problem for her getting through from Globe
to Show Low? Appreciate the help. I have to confess I’m

URGENT Prayer Need: Some people ran back into the evacuated
zone. At last word, the sheriffs / police were trying to get
them out. Please pray that all will safely get out.
UPDATE: June 15, 2011 2:28 pm
Charity said the flames were coming to fast, so she didn’t
wait for the evacuation order. She and her next-door neighbors
got out. The problem is that there is a long line of traffic
trying to flee the area. So, please pray that all these cars
can safely get out. She said she would call as soon as she
gets clear of the fire.
Her plan is to drive up here. I didn’t argue with her.
I think she needs to put space between her and the nightmare.
Her boss understands.
UPDATE: June 16, 2011 2:03 pm
The flames are moving fast…
Charity’s elderly neighbor absolutely refuses to get
out. Charity was trying to reason with her and even gave her
a cat cage for her cat. But she says she won’t go. Please
pray that the firefighters / sheriffs can get her out. I told
her that she couldn’t stay if the woman refuses to go.
She knows, but she is agonized by this.
Charity is waiting for her next-door neighbors to get out
with her. She wants to make sure that they are out before
she goes. They’re still packing up some last things.
Thank you for your prayers for all of them…
UPDATE: June 15, 2011 am

UPDATE FOR CHARITY: June 15, 2011 pm
Charity is still in pre-evac.. The fire hasn’t jumped
the highway. Thank You, Father. And may God bless these wonderful
firefighters.
It looks like she has a kennel lined up for the dogs if she
needs to evacuate. If that doesn’t work she has a coworker
who offered to take them.
So, we will probably not go down there tonight. Maybe tomorrow.
As it turns out there is a crisis with some gal who needs
help (with New Hope Ranch). So, we may have to drive her somewhere
tonight out of the area (an hour there). We’re waiting
on more information that should come in the next hour.
If you can believe this, Charity is on-call at work, and
there is some server issue, I guess, that they wanted her
to deal with…
Right now, I don’t know what will happen with her situation,
so Earl and I do appreciate your prayers for her. ~Gayle
UPDATE FOR CHARITY:June 15, 2011 am
Charity is home and watching the situation carefully. She
is packed and ready to go. They are evacuating a mile south
of her. Until she receives her evac-tag she apparently can’t
bring her dogs to the one place that she found that will take
them. She has nowhere to go at this point and will probably
wait for the evac order.
Earl and I will head down there tonight if she needs us.
Our thought was to meet her, get the dogs, and take them on
up here. It would hugely make her situation easier since,
if necessary, she could probably find a place to crash at
the border station. Thank you for your prayers as we try to
figure this out. Thank you. - - Gayle

UPDATE
The fire is still moving fast in our direction, apparently.
New Hope has been trying to open another one of their homes
(the bed-bug house that has finally been cleansed of the bugs),
but it needs carpet as the last part. The company that was
to do the carpet-laying today just called to say they had
to cancel. Their business is in Eager. The guy said that they
were getting out right then because the fire was upon them.
A gal came in a few minutes ago to say that their family was
trying to rescue their grandfather’s horses down in
Eager. People are moving the cattle as they can up here to
the fairgrounds in St Johns. But I don’t know if tomorrow
St. Johns will be under an evacuation order, itself.
I will say here, and may offend, but we live in a hugely Mormon
area. Their god / gods cannot stand against something like
this. There is such terrible corruption in this area. And
there is all the first-nation spiritism on all sides. I honestly
don’t know if the cup is full of the Lord’s wrath
against this area, and He will wipe it like a dish. I can
only plead God’s mercy.
Earl and I remain as convinced as ever that God called us
to this area and to our land. But I am aware that God could
take everything away, and we may have to come back to rebuild.
We place it all on God’s altar.
It is an unknown how or whether we will need to evacuate.
We appreciate your prayers for God’s wisdom as to when
we need to go if we do. Thank you so much for Your prayers
for us. Bless you, abundantly. In Jesus’ name, I bless
you! Amen.

UPDATE ON FIRE
As of this morning, the fire has zero containment and continues
to march, but not as aggressively in our direction.
Springerville, one of our larger cities in this area, is in
a pre-evacuation situation.
As the crow flies, our home is about 36 miles from Springerville.
Springerville is 29 miles from St. Johns (where New Hope Ranch
is).
The wind has shifted, though, and it seems that the fire is
more aggressively heading toward Pinetop. This is horrific.
I’m guessing that Pinetop is about 30-35 miles from
the fire. Show Low is about 10 miles from Pinetop. These are
major resort areas. And also the only real shopping in our
area, other than mostly mom and pop businesses.
I had something of a health crisis last night, so Earl thought
it would be real smart for me to stay with him today. So,
we are both in St. Johns. I’m okay today other than
some light-headedness. Thank you for your prayers. Bless you.

The next town after that is St. Johns (where New Hope Ranch

30-45 mph. I don’t believe they have any containment.
Earl and I are okay, but it is niggling on the edge of my

Again, thank you for your prayers. Sparks carried by the wind
are causing new fires. We would appreciate so much any spiritual

We are still, I believe, about 50-60 miles from the fire.
No immediate danger here. We are a tinderbox, though, in our
area, too. The air quality is understandably very poor. To
go to church we will be going about 20 miles closer to the
fire. It is difficult to get information on the fire, but
at last word two major towns in our area are still threatened.
One of these is where Earl goes frequently for his New Hope
Ranch-related meetings. It has become the staging area for
the fire. This is a report from yesterday:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkVrc0MSIRw
For anyone who is interested this is a report from our state
senator a couple days ago. It expresses her outrage at how
the land was managed which she (and I) believes led to this…
Update – Senator Sylvia Allen
June 3, 2011
My heart goes out to those families in Alpine and Nutrioso,
Arizona, who had to evacuate last night (June 2) because of
the Wallow fire, which swept down from the ridge above Alpine.
This is the community where my father was born and where some
of my family still live. Sadly, there will be some who will
have no home to go home to. I know what it is like to be forced
to leave your home on a few hours notice. In 2002, we were
forced to evacuate our home due to the Rodeo/Chediski Fires.
I once again must express my anger at the lack of forest
management that, for the last 20 years, has turned our forests
into a tinderbox of undergrowth, small trees, brush, and downed
trees. In some areas of the forest around Alpine, the undergrowth
was so thick that you could not even walk across the forest
floor.
In 1990, Arizona had a thriving forest industry with 15 sawmills
bringing $550 million a year to the Arizona economy and employing
thousands of rural Arizona citizens. Many rural ranching families
ran cattle across the forest land, helping to keep keep the
undergrowth down and cleaned out. Over the years, their allotment
numbers have been cut to the point that many have gone out
of business.
Living through the “timber wars” of the 1990s,
I know that the Forest Service was knee deep in lawsuits brought
by environmentalist groups pushing for efforts to list the
Mexican Spotted Owl and the Goshawk. The timber companies
hung on as long as they could, spending thousands of dollars
defending their legal contracts in court. Eventually, one
by one, they went out of business, and their infrastructure
was sold at auction.
There was a time when the Forest Service operated in the
black with a very healthy return on their investment. The
natural resources that were developed on Forest Service lands
created jobs and products benefitting the American people.
They were the only federal agency that accomplished such things.
All that changed when misinformation, faulty science, lawsuits,
and downright lies were used to shut down our forests by those
environmental groups that built multi-million-dollar businesses
putting families out of work. These flawed environmental philosophies
have made their way into federal policies that have now resulted
in an unhealthy forest environment.
The castastrophic fires of the last few years are an indication
of the health and vitality of our forests. This overgrowth
of trees has depleted our watersheds. If the current disastrous
Wallow fire burns for the next 15 days, it will put as much
pollution into our air as 700 million cars running 24 hours
a day for a year.
We must return to common-sense forest management. The federal
government held 12 western states hostage and only agreed
to grant us statehood if we gave up control of 60% of our
land, assuring the states that they (the states) would have
use of the land and be able to use the resources within the
boundaries of our respective states. The federal government
has broken its word.

Jerry Howery and his wife Darlene
Ventura County, California
Jerry and Darlene now have a general plan for Jerry's treatment.
He is in for a long and aggressive treatment, and they are
trusting God to make him a "cancer survivor".
This type of cancer is very aggressive and has become more
and more common. Jerry's is located at the junction of the
esophagus and the stomach, and there is one lymph node involved.
It could be caused from chronic heart burn, which you can
have even without symptoms.
Next week he will have a Permanent Port-a-cath inserted in
his shoulder/chest where he will get chemo and medications.
He will have 3 heavy-dose Chemo treatments, 3 weeks apart,
and radiation treatments simultaneously which should shrink
the tumor.
In the fall he will have surgery to remove a significant length
of his esophagus and 1/3 of his stomach. His stomach will
be stretched/elongated and re-attached to the esophagus, higher
up in his chest.
There are 4 doctors involved -- Gastroenterologist, thoracic
surgeon, general surgeon , and oncologist. The doctors are
encouraged by Jerry's good health -- no heart condition or
diabetes, etc. Most people with this type of cancer are very
fragile.
I have a list of about 60 people on this prayer chain. Jerry
and Darlene are so blessed by all the friends from all over
who are praying for them

FURTHER Prayer Request and Update for:
Mark Meinschein, his family and ministries
Lancaster, Texas
"I am Mark's Aunt Sue. I have known him since he was
about a week old and can attest to the fact that he is held
in God's loving arms now and has been since he was born. He
has suffered many devastating illnesses and God provided the
miracle when there was little hope for his survival, including
spinal meningitis when he was 9 months old. God has used him
since he was a teenager to bring people, young and old, to
the Lord. He does have a major fault. He loves creepy crawly
things like snakes and loves to tease unsuspecting Aunts with
them. Of course, that makes him a cool dude to those young
ones he wants in God's family. He is persuasive. His ministry
has taken him to places at night that most would not dare
to walk. He loves the unlovable and works hard and incessantly
to bring them to Christ. He, to me, is a version of Mother
Theresa. Of course, I am biased, for I love him. I know this
is long, but I want you to know how much your prayers would
mean to all of us who love Mark, as well as Mark and Anh.
Thanks for your prayers and for reading this." ~Sue Essary

FURTHER Prayer Request and Update for:
Dr. Ron Nelson and his wife Brenda
Michigan
Dear Prayer warriors.......thank you for your continued prayers................
as the news comes in with sadness in Brenda's heart and family........we
know in our hearts Dr. Ron is a true fighter and we know his
faith is so strong and has told John many times we don't know
the whys but for John to keep fighting one episode and then
another and then another just as Dr. Ron is doing himself....
We know God can give Him a miracle and we ask God to please
look down upon him and please heal him .we know the time is
running out to make it to Josh's Graduation but He is alive
and fighting every day......and it may just take time ....lots
of time to heal and fight the infections he has.Ron has been
a true inspiration to so many in his battle of cancer. He
has touched thousands of people and he is one in a million.
Thank you Dr. Ron for the most caring person, doctor, friend
you have been to so many.. of us......but you may just surprise
us all and God will give you your Miracle........of healing.......hang
in there and know you are so loved .
God Loves you and so do we. We sometimes don't understand
God's way but know you are so right it is in God's plans and
hands. and we must put our trust in him
God bless and our love
John, Helen, and Pooja
UPDATE FROM BRENDA
know this will not come as a big surprise to any of you, but
Ron continues to fight with all he's got. The doctors and
nurses are impressed with his strength and perseverance, but
he wouldn't be Ron if that weren't apparent!
He continues to fight the infection that is raging through
his body as well as the liver and kidney failure. There wasn't
much change today. He is awake but not able to respond to
many commands. The doctors are saying that he is very sick
and the prognosis is not good. This news is very discouraging
and we ask for continued prayers as we approach Josh's graduation
on Sunday, which will be a bittersweet occasion.
Ever since he was diagnosed with cancer Ron has been very
firm in his belief that this is all part of God's plan and
we have to trust that. We will stay strong in that faith and
draw our strength from that even though we don't understand
why. One thing is for sure, we have been surrounded by many
people who love and care for Ron and for that we are grateful!

Dr. Ron Nelson and his family

Thank you for your prayers for John's dr......Dr. Ron. They
have been able to take out the breathing tube, he is in ICU,
very, very sick , fighting 3 huge infections and the liver
is just not working like it should yet and they think they
have got the combination of antibiotics to fight these infections.
It is going to be a long road ahead. He is on kidney dialysis
daily and of course you all know he is very weak...but we
can pray for the Miracle he needs to be healed from it all
so he can be back helping people that is his life...a life
of service to the young, old, senior citizens, Amish , poor
etc.. there are very few doctors that will make house calls(
he has made several for John) and on holidays too. He is one
in a million... and we are asking God to please get him well.
Please pray for his wife, Brenda who is by his side and his
children and grand children that love him so much and misses
him dearly.
I talked to his daughter to get this update for you as I have
had so many asking...how is Dr. Ron??? so prayers are working
and just keep pouring them in. I have been printing out all

Those little planes are NOT fun in the wind.......
We don't know how long our stay will be, we (as always) have
to get there and see where we're at, and go from there. The
concern now is that the "stone" is not a stone.
He has other "stones" in his other kidney also.
He also has new leisons in his chest that at this point we
can presume are tumor.

Well, today finds us facing yet another challenge. During
the night Ron took a turn for the worse. He continues to have
to fight a very difficult infection and it was necessary to
put in a breathing tube this morning. The doctors are going
to do more scans this afternoon to see if they can get more
answers.
We know that this is out of our hands and we continue to
rely on our faith that God is in control although I must say
that doesn't make this any less painful for us.

Please say some extra prayers for Dr. Ron... This message
in from his wife Brenda. ~Cardinal
Well, we are finding ourselves back in Ann Arbor for yet another
holiday: Easter, Mothers Day, Birthday and now Memorial Day...not
my idea of a holiday!
Ron has been struggling ever since he has been home and yesterday
he had an episode at home where he passed out and had to be
taken in to the ER. His blood pressure was extremely low and
they felt it best that he be transferred to U of M again.
He was placed in ICU for monitoring of his low pressure and
he has a pretty serious infection. They spent most of the
day today getting the pressure under control and placed him
on more antibiotics as well as continuous dialysis to filter
the toxins out of his blood.
As of this evening he was much more comfortable, alert and
feeling MUCH better. I believe they feel they have things
under control and we are finally turning the corner. I spoke
with his nurse just a while ago and he was SLEEPING! It was
a very long day but it seems like the doctors are optimistic
about his recovery from this.
Please continue your prayers as we have Josh's graduation
coming up one week from Sunday and our goal is that he will
be able to attend!

Buffy
Hello Harriet, I put a copy of the letter I'd written you
about my dog Buffy down below. I'm happy to tell you that
Buffy is fine, the Lord heard and answered the many prayers
for her and the best part is --- she didn't go thru any surgery!
She's walking and running normal again. I'm so grateful to
all who lifted her up for prayer. Forgive me please for not
letting you know a bit sooner. Thank you Jesus for hearing
us and healing Buffy.
Many thanks to all of you.
God Bless and keep you, ~Gayle
Original Message
I have a wonderful little Bishon, 3 years old named Buffy.
Last summer we were visiting up north and Buffy took a spill
in the yard playing with a much larger dog. Seems her legs
were hurt badly and we thought it was from the tumble she
took. Come to find out, she has bad knees and a birth defect
whereby she has no joint for her hip joint to fit into. She
will be needing surgery as soon as we can raise the money
for it. I know it will be in the thousands of dollars and
we are on social security. Please pray for comfort for her
until we can get the money together for the inevitable surgery.
Meantime, she's on pain medication when it appears she's really
in pain. Please pray God will open the windows of heaven and
pour out a financial blessing for her and for the pain to
be relieved. We know our God is able to do all of this and
we are praying and asking in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Situation in America
For those who are more interested or concerned about what
is happening in our county here are two commentaries that
I found that explain our situation well:
www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=295733
www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=279437
We are right on the edge of this situation in our community,
and it would be devastating. So your prayers are HUGE.
I wanted to share, also, how this troubles Earl and me on
another level. Starting back in about 1986, the Lord began
speaking to Earl and me about land that He would take us to
and a work that He would have us do there. It has been an
agonizingly slow and frustrating journey on our side to get
settled here and learn what we need to learn. We believe,
though, that the Lord promised to bring those who would help
us in the work that He would have for us to do here. We believe
that this is beginning to happen. And we see the enemy’s
hands all over this move to place our land under federal and
potentially UN dominance. Our freedoms if not the land itself
could be potentially stripped away. We understand that God
is God, and no one will step on His plans for us. But this
could seriously thwart us in how we serve. As things stand
now, we feel like this is a train rushing at 80 mph at us
while we’re tied to the tracks. In the natural, we are
in so much trouble. But Your prayers can make all the difference
in how effective a handful of people can be in rejecting this
plan for our county. Thank you for your prayers.

Hi just got this in........ keep praying.
thanks for your prayers and keep them coming. ~Cardinal
HOME SWEET HOME!!!
We finally made it home late Thursday afternoon.. It feels
so good to be back. We have spent that last few days trying
to re-establish a routine in our day. Hospitals are definitely
NOT places where you are able to get the amount of rest sometimes
necessary for healing and after having been in a hospital
room for the past 4 weeks, it's difficult to get our days
and nights in the right order.
Ron feels like he is getting stronger each day but knows
he has a long way to go. He is very restless at times, partly
because he is tired of sitting or lying in bed but he doesn't
feel strong enough yet to really get around much.
I have had lots of requests for visits now that we are home.
I think lmited visits are fine as long as they are brief and
quiet. Too much commotion does make Ron very tired and sometimes
a lot of conversation or disruption causes some anxiety too.
(Most of you medical people probably know this, but being
in the hospital for a long period of time actually can cause
a person to become anxious and it takes time for them to re-acclimate
once discharged.)
We will keep you updated on our progress.

Good Not so good Morning...
at 6:50 a.m. got a call from Uncle Bill.... a little shook
up ..he had just hit a deer 219 miles from home.(which there
would be about 500 miles more to come to Michigan). he was
trying to get his door open and finally did..... on Rt. 80
he got out to see the damage done................while I was
on the phone....
he said ......"Oh My"" and all that hair..
he looked for the deer and no where to be found................
it did damage to his drivers side, took out head light, closed
his side mirror, some to the grill, side fender and is leaking
anti-freeze etc. not sure what damage all. the good thing
is he is not hurt.
He said he bumped his knee getting out and that it was bleeding.....but
not bad....so been talking with him the past two hours while
waiting for police and tow truck.
Tow truck came about 8:30 and said he could ride in the cab
with his car on the back and will take him the 219 miles back
to N. Jersey...needless to say he is super upset and so is
his buddy John as we had so many things planned and company
coming to visit.......I will still try to do something's as
I don't want John to get any more depressed then he is........
I told U.Bill thank God you are not hurt...... that is the
main thing..... we can get your car fixed or whatever. I will
help him pay his tow bill and he can come in July/Aug. for
his birthday...as he wanted to celebrate mine and our anniversary...
this time. ..but for some reason God had different plans for
all of us......
Say a little prayer for him as he goes home to no one.....and
now has to go thru another accident with this new used car
he just got last year......
thank you so much........God Bless and off for the day.
will invite Stanley's for our Thanksgiving dinner(turkey thawed,
desert made, cookies baked ..his favorites and muffins made)
we had planned for U.Bill.....thanking God he is o..k. ..instead
of thanking Him he is here safe..........
my heart is broken for both John and Uncle Bill..as they are
just like brothers... and had been counting the days to see
each other again...........
Have a super day.

So if you stop by for a short visit and she wakes up please

Shirley Penry Walker
Paragould, Arkansas
Thank you so very much..... I just returned from Jonesboro
this evening.... I'm pooped.... I learned yesterday that she
did not have a stroke as first thought.... She has a inoperable
tumor on her brain and an aggressive one at that... It has
grown so much that it has dislodged and moved her skull....
She has not eaten since last Saturday and with a signed advance
directive does not want a feeding tube.... She did awaked
Wednesday for about 3 hours and seemed good as new except
she could not speak.... She interacted with her children and
responded to them by facial features or expressions..... Wednesday
evening she lapsed back into the coma and has been maintained
there with drugs..... Today her breathing became labored....
I called Jim and put the phone up to her ear with the speaker
on and he spoke to her.... She responded with grunts and rapid
eye movement and moved one of her hands.... Jim told her he
loved her but needed a favor from her.... He asked her to
walk slowly and that he would catch up to her... There wasn't
a dry eye in that room.. When he quit talking to her she was
quiet for a moment and then leaned toward the side of her
head where the phone was like she was listening and waiting
to hear his voice.... She seemed a bit agitated.... She settled
back down and fell into sleep..... I left right after that....
I could not stay around there any longer.... It just seems
like..... hurry up and get this over with..... like vultures
on the fence....
The hospice unit gave her children some pamphlets to read
as to what to watch for so they would know what stage she
is in..... They would read a segment and then compare what
their mother was doing or how she looked or are her feet cold,,,,
well check her hands.... and so on.... Those of you that know
me, know this did not set well, so I spoke with Jim and he
told me to save grace and just come on home.... That I did....
In speaking with my sister this evening she reminded me that
the LORD is in charge and no matter what "they"
do, his will shall be done.... If he wishes to take her home
then that is exactly what will happen and in his time... It
is all in the hands of the Master.... Praise GOD....
THANK YOU ALL so very much for your prayers..... We love youse
guys................
